In Torcinder the air is too foul to breathe and crime rampant-

While the richest of the population could afford to leave the world and take their valuables with them, those too poor are still trapped and with the risk of the power plant melting down time dwindles short.

Only few remain brave enough to do their part-

Mercer must solve financially motive crimes to return as much of the money possible to the good people remaining so that they may leave before the city takes its last breaths.
